My Story: From Serving My Country to Serving My Community

Hello. My name is the owner of Greendale Home Watch & Property Check LLC, and I want to take a moment to introduce myself personally — because in this business, who you trust with the keys to your home matters more than anything else.

I am a United States military veteran who spent years in service to this country, developing a deep and unshakeable commitment to duty, discipline, and the protection of people and property. Following my military service, I transitioned into a career as a first responder right here in the greater Milwaukee area, spending years responding to residential emergencies — house fires, burst pipes flooding finished basements, break-ins, weather damage, and every other crisis that can befall an unprotected home. I have seen, firsthand and up close, what happens to a house when no one is watching.

After retiring from active first responder service, I found myself looking for a way to continue serving the community I love — the quiet, proud neighborhoods of Greendale, Wisconsin, where I have lived for many years. It was during a conversation with a neighbor who had returned from a three-month winter stay in Arizona to discover a catastrophic basement flood caused by a sump pump failure that the idea for this business was born. She had lost irreplaceable family heirlooms, thousands of dollars in furnishings, and her entire finished basement. All of it preventable. All of it detectable by a single weekly inspection visit.

That conversation lit a fire in me. I founded Greendale Home Watch & Property Check LLC with a simple, powerful mission: to apply the same vigilance, discipline, and attention to detail that I developed over decades of military and first responder service to the protection of my neighbors' most valuable assets — their homes.

Why I Do This Work

I am not a large corporation. I do not have a fleet of anonymous contractors who rotate through your property without you knowing their names. When you hire Greendale Home Watch, you hire me. I am the person who will walk through your front door on every scheduled visit. I am the person whose name is on the insurance policy. I am the person who will call you immediately if something is wrong, and who will stay at your property until the issue is resolved if necessary.

I bring a first responder's eye to every inspection — systematic, methodical, and trained to notice the things that most people overlook. The slight discoloration on a ceiling that indicates a slow roof leak. The subtle sulfur odor near a water heater that signals a developing problem. The door that closes differently than it did last week, suggesting a foundation shift. These are the kinds of observations that come from training and experience, not from a checklist printed off the internet.
